What is TinyBlox?
TinyBlox is a family of products by TinyFactory for running business processes. Each product does one job and can be installed on its own. Installed together, they form the TinyBlox platform: they share one sign-in, keep their secrets in one place, and find each other without addresses typed by hand.
The products
Section titled “The products”| Product | What it does |
|---|---|
| TinyConductor | Runs business processes and decisions modelled in BPMN and DMN. It has a console for people who run and work on processes, a modeler, and an API. |
| The connector runtime | Part of TinyConductor: runs the connectors that let a process call outside systems (HTTP, mail, databases, queues, cloud services, AI models) without custom code. |
| TinyGuard | Signs people and services in. An OpenID Connect provider with tenants, multifactor sign-in and sign-in through other providers such as Google. |
| TinyVault | Keeps secrets (API keys, passwords) and hands them to the products and services allowed to read them. |
| TinyRenderer | Coming. |
| TinyGate | Coming. |
How they work together
Section titled “How they work together” people (browsers) │ sign in ▼ TinyGuard ◄──────────── sign-in for every product │ ┌─────────────────┼─────────────────────┐ ▼ ▼ ▼ TinyConductor ───► TinyVault ◄──── connector runtime │ secrets for tasks ▲ └────────────────────────────────────────┘ jobs for connectors- One sign-in. Every product signs people in through the same identity provider. That is usually TinyGuard, but any standard OpenID Connect provider works, for example Keycloak or your company’s own.
- One place for secrets. Products read API keys and passwords from TinyVault, so a key is changed in one place and never written into a process or a configuration file.
- Products find each other. Installed in one Kubernetes cluster, each product’s chart works out the address of the others. See Connections between products.
- Set up for you. The provisioner registers each product’s sign-in clients, and the people and permissions of an environment, from files you keep. See Provisioning.
